To Whom it May Concern, Richard Jackson has been the estate manger of our estate for approximately the last 2 years. I was appointed the finance trustee when residents first took occupation in the latter half of 2015, and when we encountered a few problematic residents, and the original estate manager didn’t feel comfortable dealing with loud obnoxious residents, they recommended Richard to us, and since then he has worked well with both the trustees, and our service providers. This is my first sitting on a board of trustees, and my impressions of working with Richard are altogether positive, and I believe he does a very good job for the complex. On an almost daily basis Richard visits the complex. He keeps an eye on all of the service providers’ staff while he is on site. We have had a number of incidents over the last 2 years; various complaints, burst water pipes, leaking geysers, flooding of flower beds during heavy rains, petty theft, electricity outages, etc. and Richard is usually on the front line, and keeping the trustees updated and well informed. Richard has also helped in obtaining quotes for, and ensure the completion of; a new braai area, a clothing line installation, a private refuse removal service, the fixing of our electric fence, the installation of a water filtration system, etc. He is also helping us to manage the process of finding a provider to put in a new fiber internet network. Richard is also responsible for organizing our monthly meetings, taking the minutes, and following-up and ensuing actions are taken. Richard and I usually work closely on any communication or messages that need to go out to the residents from these meetings, and the messages usually go out quickly without much hassle. During our complex's partnership with Richard, he has been efficient, professional, organized, and a definite asset to the complex, and I would not hesitate to recommend him as an estate manager.
